Not from OK but my spouse is a dispatcher in FL has been for years I think not considering them 1st responders is an insult to their profession.

Dispatchers are and have always been the "First, First Responders". We are not secretaries and are not even in the same sector.

I would think these people are a vital link to the Emergency system , wouldn't that enough to reclassify them ?
