2008 wrangler that burns almost a quart every 1k miles. Been happening since day one. Now that these 07 and 08 wranglers are starting to hit 100k miles, im guessing we will start seeing the side effects of this oil burning (eg. Catalytic converter fail).

i own a 2011 Jeep Wrangler sport I have the problem that many other people have I use 1 to 2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles I don't understand why Chrysler doesn't see there is a problem with these 3.8 motors swallow your pride Chrysler and help the buyers of these vehicles out

I have a 2008 Wrangler unlimited that I purchased used in June 2014. I had a full service completed at time of purchase. Now, November 2014 and not even due for the first oil change since I've owned it, the motor has a severe knock and they recommend motor replacement to the tune of $6000!!! Outrageous! My jeep has 46,000 miles on it and the motor is blown?! I will never purchase a Chrysler product again.

My 59K mile 2010 has gone from using 3/4 quart per 3000 miles to using 1/2 quart per thousand. This is not normal no matter what Chrysler or Dealer says

2007 Wrangler consumed magically all oil w/out any warnings signs. No leaks, smoke ,no idiot light coming on,etc. Vehicle has less than 48k miles on it!Now I need a new small block. This is not right!

2007 wrangler and I loss one quart per 1000 miles! Very upset, I have a 25 year old Toyota 4x4 that does not lose a drop of oil! This is wrong!

I have been burning just over a quart/1000 miles and am being told it is "normal" by the dealer. I have never owned a new vehicle (~ 60k miles) that burned oil like this. What are the alternatives?

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Mountain 3.8L V6. I always change my oil every 3,000 miles. It was ALWAYS 2-3 after the first and second oil change. I now check it every two weeks. I just returned from a trip where I traveled approx. 500 miles. I changed the oil the night before and after checking it after the trip, it looks like it was missing about a 1/2 quart according to the dipstick.

Im having to put a couple quarts in a couple different times in between oil changes. Vehicle has been maintained well and had oil changes as scheduled. Not very promising when spending a large amount of money for the vehicle.
