As an alumnus of Ohio Wesleyan University, I stand in solidarity with the current students who have been asking to have their voices heard in regards to sustainability on campus. The loss of a sustainability coordinator has meant not only the loss of energy and cost savings but also the loss of an incredible resource for students.Ohio Wesleyan should be part of the solution to global climate change, not part of the problem. Therefore, I, as an alumnus, pledge to withhold financial contributions from Ohio Wesleyan University until they permanently reinstate the sustainability coordinator position.
