Great place but more respect needing to be shown by Ulen to locals, 40 days limit is not the answer to stop unwanted ski/board schooling!

Having spent 3 full seasons in bansko and skied/boarded 100 plus days every season. I fail to see the use of a pathetic 40 day excuse for a season pass!!!!

We will ski (and therefore spend far less up the mountain) without a season pass. A false economy on the part of Ulen!

We need season pass to enjoy Bansko for as much time as we can , i bought for thiss very reason ..please reinstate full season passes

I agree with the comments in the article.Particularly the socialising and spending money in restaurants and bars. I go every year for at least six weeks and take the lifts every day.

Classic example of a big monopoly trying to squeeze out all the little guys. Independent skiers and ski businesses.

Sadly yet again the Management of Ulen seem's to be a little inept, I thought Bulgaria would try and develop tourism, they shut the Mountain early last year even when Snow conditions were good. It seems to be about all maximising Ulen's profit for a year at a time no longer view, no service for the client's. Ulen seem to be saying we are here and you must pay and play by our rules, if you do not like it go to a properly organised business in France or Italy and sadly people will. But when the owner of Ulen is a multi-millionaire and he employs his Sister in Law to run a Ski resort what do you expect! Sad times yet again in Bulgaria.

I do not understand why the 40 day pass in Bansko is now more expensive than full season passes in Western Europe. It aslo gives a very clear message to the local skiers that their business is not appreciated on the mountains.

1. I feel changing from a season pass and calling it a premium pass offering only 40 days is just another way to vastly increase your prices. 2. When you work out daily cost of 37.50 leva a day, the price is almost the same as you sell lift passes to holidaymakers through Balkan holidays at 99 UK pounds equal to 37.95 leva a day, the only difference being you get 1500 leva up front at the beginning of the season and premium pass holders can use fast lane of the gondola. 3. At this rate of price increase, in a couple years it will be cheaper to rent a flat for the season in Borovets and buy a full season pass, than to buy a premium pass in Bansko which only gives 40 days skiing.

I think it's disgusting and I certainly will not be paying for a Season Pass this year.
