Please allow our dogs to have some free space and exercise! Very few grass fields in the Brickell area and this park really isn't utilized for anything else other than the basketball courts. It could be a huge asset to the local apartment community. Ever since this restriction has begun, the park is now empty.
The city may contact me at [email protected]. There are so many dog-friendly buildings in the area, but very few green spaces where dogs can exercise safely. Please allow our four-legged family members to play and exercise off-leash at Southside Park.
The dogs and neighbors in the community need this to happen. Going to the dog park used to be the highlight of my dogs and my day. Ever since cops started patrolling the park there's barely anyone there. Let's have everyone come back!!
The city may contact me at [email protected]. Dogs need to play and stay active in a controlled setting and there is no dog park close by for the residents of Brickell (Edgewater and Coral Gables is not near by). Thanks.
With all the new residential construction this park is best suited for the growing canine resident population!
I was not aware of this until very recently. With more publicity (flyers at the park, Facebook. etc) this should easily reach more than 1000 signatureso.

PLEASE, this is an area for dogs to run freely, not for children who are scare of dogs; there're plenty of children parks. DOGS NEED TO FEEL FREE SOMETIMES!
