I visit Timbrell Park with my dog every day, and have done since I moved into the area 4 years ago. In all that time I have not witnessed a single anti social incident involving a dog or dog owner. It is a minimum requirement that a dog should be able to chase a ball, and this is easily achieved in Timbrell Park, without imposing on anyone or any thing. To start fining people for exercising their dogs responsibly, would be the definition of "anti social".

I love going for walks but everywhere i go i have to be on lead! I wish i had a place to go where i could run & play with other dogs. We need to be able to socialize freely with our four-legged friends.

EVERY park need an off-leash dog area. This policing of dogs off leash is pathetic, and only a few dogs wreck it for responsible people with well behaved dogs like mine.

Canada Bay Council caters for so many different groups- cyclists, pedestrians, sporting clubs, children but shows very limited support for dog owners who make up a substantial porportion of the local community. Giving local dogs a space to socialize & play is much in need in this area.

Timbrell Park is a great park to be used as an off-leash dog area as it large and bordered by bushland on one side so it is also safe for dogs away from traffic. Large dogs love to chase balls and each other and this is not available at the small enclosed area in Five Dock park (which is better suited to small dogs) but can easily be done at Timbrell without interfering with any activity. The park is large and should be able to be enjoyed by the whole community including our dogs. We do not disturb anyone and should be allowed as responsible dog owners to let our dogs get their proper exercise and have fun. Perhaps the park could be off-leash at certain times of the day when it is not being used by other scheduled sporting activities. That would be fair for everyone.

Love this park and my dog loves it too. A beautifully well behaved dog that loves enjoying his mornings running around the park with the other dogs from the area. If there are no people utilising the park, then it’s fair to let the dogs run around, they are not hurting anyone and they are getting their daily exercise.

Timbrell Park is a wonderful park. Well maintained by Canada Bay Council and big enough for everyone to use. We love taking our dog there and he loves it too. We have all made new friends and a joint community space is valuable for all. Off leash when no sport is on would be great or designated times morning and afternoon. Installing doggy bag dispensers would encourage the few owners who sometimes forget.

This is definitely a workable solution for all users of the park not just the sports people or dog owners but also the Livvies visitors

Please the open space and community in the park are essential for all to use sensibly. These spaces for dogs and their owners become meeting places in our village . Leave them alone .

What ashame to brake up our village connections with our dogs. My sanity and well being depends on freely running my puppies at Timberlake Park.
Please don’t make us pay for one person’s mistake with our life style. This is when our lives depend on the life style we can enjoy and maintain.

Makes such sense to utilize this park as a free run for dogs - the owners would love this! I am not a dog owner but can see the sense in this! Please make this available and keep dogs off city streets!

Just what a city dog needs - a beautiful park to run free without disturbing others as this park is so large and on week days no one is around!

The park is so quiet apart from groups of respectful dog owners with well behaved dogs letting their dogs enjoy a run. Running off-leash in an open space is so important for many breeds of dogs. At Timbrell Park there is enough space to do this without getting in anyone's way.
