I think this is a great idea for an off leash dog area.

Dogs are an integral part of urban life and need off-leash exercise. Flexibility helps people to co-exist comfortably

As someone who works from home I often walk my dog during the day for a break and the park is always empty! My dog needs space to run freely at the park and options locally are limited for this. Never had a problem in the years living here. Lets make it off-leash.

It is really important especially in urban areas that dogs have spaces to enjoy themselves. Dog parks are really important for community spirit, they bring people together, and they should be preserved for the enjoyment of everyone!

Dogs are well behaved off-leash here. Good to see them at the cafe too.

The majority of dog owners control their dogs & their mess. It works well here keeping away from sporting events (& the baseball area)

Enjoy seeing the dogs off-leash here. Good business for the local cafe too.

Have exercised our dog here freely for 4 years without complaint. Everyone gets along. Lets keep it that way.

Certain dogs need to fun freely off-leash and it has always worked well this way at Timbrell Park. Plenty of room for everyone to share.

There are so few off-leash areas in Five Dock, and dogs need this opportunity to play and run with other dogs.

I am a person with limited mobility and am no longer able to walk my dog for any appreciable length of time. I would benefit from a local off-leash park, as I can let my dog run and play with other dogs for exercise.

Dogs need to have some off leash time to run and play! Some people don't have space in their yards or apartments and need a safe place to bring the dogs

Timbrell is a wonderful local off leash facility for dogs which I use daily. Users are responsible owners who on the whole exercise their dogs when the park is otherwise empty. When sports are being played we stay clear. Very occasionally and regretfully an owner does not supervise their dog adequately but in the 28 years I have used the park daily, this is a rare occurrence. Signage relating to restrictions relating to sporting use and regarding the children's area would be welcome. It might also be noted that the dog walkers are the ones who pick up the rubbish and report vandalism or maintenance issues. Please keep Timbrell Park as a much needed resource for dogs; its huge, we can share.

This proposal is workable for everyone. It's not interfering with sports or playground users and gives a six month trial where everyone can give their feedback. This open space is perfect for off-leash exercise and for community connection in the great outdoors. Helps support Livvi's Cafe at the park too! Win-win.
