I fully agree with everything in this letter and believe that no Vanderbilt Student should be forced to live on campus, especially when the on campus housing Vanderbilt provides is extremely inadequate and one could enjoy a much higher standard of living with the same price that we are forced to pay.

I am on financial aid and was still awarded off-campus... Pretty sure it is actually random. Still shitty though, for sure.

I've also heard that most all of those who got rejected for off campus are on financial aid. Not exactly random selection...

When applying to Vanderbilt, I was told that I would have the option to live off campus after my sophomore year.

The worst housing experience I have been through yet since being at Vanderbilt. Honestly made me ashamed to say I have to deal with this at my university. Hugely disappointing, highly stressful, and not economical.
