This has not only screwed the seniors, but the rising juniors and sophomores as well. Any of the housing options that rising juniors would plan on taking have been taken by the seniors stuck on campus that may have went off. Now, juniors are left scrambling for various singles in houses they may not want and without people they want to live with.

I'm from Nashville and not allowing me to live off-campus is hindering my ability to effectively network within and contribute to the culture and city in which I am so invested. Vanderbilt should be a voice for Nashville, and a community of students who actively participate in the surrounding areas while contributing to the overall development of a quickly growing city. It's time for the Vandy bubble to pop.

As a transfer student, I am extremely proud and honored to be apart of the Vanderbilt community. There are, however, ways in which the administration conducts itself that I highly disapprove of. As a junior, as an adult, as a valuable part of this institution I think it is appalling that I cannot voluntarily choose to live how I see for, whether that's off-campus or on-campus. We, the students, love Vanderbilt dearly and we want to be allowed the autonomy and freedom that students of our high caliber deserve.

I only hope that the housing department will realize how unfair this policy is and immediately notify the entire student body who wishes to live off campus as upper class men that they now have their approval.

There should be thousands of signatures on this petition! Do you part in sharing this link and get this policy overturned now!!!! This is unfair to every student chosen or not, junior or senior or for that matter freshmen or Soph. You will all be in this same situatuon!!! Sign and make a difference!

Why is this only about seniors? Up until this following year Juniors were permitted to live off-campus, and now that has changed. People in my year (Class of 2016) are getting shafted equally as unfairly. We were told upon application and acceptance that we could live off campus Junior year. What the school is doing is disgraceful and completely unjustified.

unfair to all students and parents to force students to live on campus as upper classman to solely benefit the University. If you cannot house all enrolled students on campus then allow any upper classmen to live where they choose. This should not be a one sided situation based on the University's possible financial gain or because there is limited on campus space!!!!

Vanderbilt housing is using unfair practices to mandate where students should live. This is causing unnecessary stress to students who are working hard and should be focused on their studies. Where you live should be your own choice.

I was approved to live off campus but my roommate was not - there's no reason that we shouldn't have been able to apply together and be accepted or denied as a team. Doing something as simple as adding a group option would be an improvement of this flawed system. I am incredibly disappointed in and frustrated with Vandy housing.

Financially, I needed to be able to live off campus, because it is actually $4000 cheaper for me to live in Hillsboro than it is for me to live on campus. I was ecstatic to be able to live off-campus this year, and other seniors should be granted the same opportunity.

Got off campus house junior and senior year. I did not enter the lotto and walked in to housing and said - "I would like to live off campus. I forgot to register, and I missed the lotto. Furthermore, I already paid my deposit on an apartment." - the guy handed me a form, I filled in out, and I was off campus. Although I applaud your attempt to get off campus housing the correct way, Vanderbilt is a school that cares about money and housing is a major income. They built new dormitories they now have to pay for. So Vanderbilt is now teaching you your life lesson - if you can't game the system you will be screwed.

This is messed up. Vanderbilt seniors (myself being one of them) deserve the privilege to live off campus. We have paid this school thousands of dollars throughout the past three years and we deserve the opportunity to live off campus if that is what we want. Living off campus is not only an important experience for us to have before moving on to the real world, but it is something that since before applying to Vanderbilt we were anticipating and told that we would be able to live off campus for our senior year.

I understand that you are trying to to reinforce the importance of community however you have not done that for the class of 2015. When kissam was being torn down you didnt give us many options for housing then again when kissam was rebuilt you didnt give us seniority in the correct way. In other words, we weren't to pick our housing choice first. Because we were given no other options we should be allowed to live off campus if we so please. I am truly unhappy
