I think this would be a huge help for our officers and also there would be no questions on what happened during an arrest or confrontation.

I think that this is a smart decision for everyone involved. I know many officers who support this as a means of protecting them from legal action as well as making citizens feel safer in encounters with Police Officers.

I don't like the idea that body cams can be used as a bargaining tool in ANY dispute between the OKCPD and the FOP. WE are their employers, and THEY don't dictate to us. WE dictate to them. Put those body cams on and leave them on, and do NOT allow any law enforcement personnel the ability to manipulate them. Those body cams aren't so much for THEIR protection as they are for OURS.

As much as I feel the body cameras are ignored just as much as the phone cameras, I would like to put every buffer in place to keep police brutality and murder from continuing

We should have the body cams it's important to see the whole story. Once America repent for the way they have been racially profiling blacks for years. Than rewrite the constitution because it was written. Only with white people in mind God made all man kind equal not the constitution that is bias.

Cameras are good for everyone on both sides. They provide greater transparency, and create a clearer picture of a given situation. Many other cities have used them with great success. Let's help our police get with the times by supporting them with cameras.
