Please do not allow construction of this home on the bluffs overlooking the 5 fwy. We never thought anything was going to built at this location. So many of us enjoy the view while driving by , walking our dogs, or bicycling. Part of the lure of buying our home in the adjacent community was that we would be able to enjoy this drive by view daily. Its absurd such a large home will be built on this property.

This is sad.. we all appreciate this view so much, and it is so unfortunate that it will be ripped away from our community.

This is not in the best interest of the community. Let's preserve open space and the beauty of our environment. I also hope this can be stopped.

This project is not in keeping with SJC Planning Commission Guidelines. Significant environmental issues with construction on this location, High risk - possible errossion/slide area, possible street flooding could result if this project was allowed to move forward.

The proposed single residence is out of place in our planned communities. The timing is suspicious. The city, developers, and prop owner need to be sued for conspiracy to defraud the rest of us.

Building codes need to include no instructions of the ocean view of neighbors, since that’s what we pay for!

I am in agreement that if you purchase a piece of property, you should be able to develop it based on the zoning in which you acquired it. City council has allowed the owner to change the zoning and set back requirements the city has already approved. The City is allowing the owner to build a home that does not fit with the surrounding neighborhood. The owner should only be entitled to what fits within the original zoning without concessions.

Please preserve this open space. It is unfathomable that a monstrosity of this magnitude could be built on this precarious cliff. You have much to consider, 1 house vs 400 residents that will be impacted with construction, safety and inconvenience of the road being continually blocked. There is no parking on this 2 lane road. This is a travesty to our community and there are some questions about this land that don’t add up.

No need for a solo property that’s gonna block many homes views!

As a house owner in Harbor View community, I appose this project. It will block my first and second floor view. And it's ridiculous to build a house hanged on a slop just 20 feet away 5th free way. The project house lights and elivition will distract the driver on 5th free way and result in a serious accident.

I oppose this project in the sharp slop lot. It's ugly and unsafe.

New construction MUST consider and minimize impact to any and all communities.
