This problem has been escalating, hurting more and more aquatic animals. Our solution to this - give lifeguards more power. The best way to stop beachgoers from trashing the beach is to use force. If lifeguards see people throwing trash into the ocean or the sand, they can remove them from the beach, and give them a fine. This will encourage people to throw their trash into trash cans to avoid being fined. The money from the fines can be used to hire more lifeguards, and upgrade beach enforcement. This will make our beaches cleaner, and protect wildlife.
