I hereby strongly object to the additional R5 per levy infrastructure levy as proposed by TWK Municipality. Our rates and service levies are already unaffordably and unacceptably too high, and your service delivery has decreased dramatically and shockingly over the past year.
We have no guarantee that the money will in fact be spent on infrastructure given TWKM's record of financial maladministration.
I note that TWKM collections are already down R29m in just four months, which is totally unacceptable. Do your jobs efficiently and clean up your operation and you will not need to look to already overburdened rate payers to compensate for your failure.
