I have written to at least 4 MPPs and Cabinet ministers and have either had no reply or one that states that one of the other ministers will get back to me . They haven't and I started these letters in 2020

I am a cottage owner near Kirk Kove. I am concerned with the lack of information being distributed and shared to our local community and the environmental impact such a project would have to this headwater ecosystem.

Concerned with what the increased traffic will mean to the lake, especially with regards to over fishing. Wasn't there a concern not that long ago about over-fishing in the lake. Have appropriate studies been undertaken to state whether this is a concern of a Park on the lake. If not, why not? If so, how can we get access to it?

I am opposed to this new extension to the Whiteduck Provincial Park. This class of Provincial Park gives the Ministry the oppurtunity to place infrastructure up the South Shore thus inviting in more human traffic to Gig Gull Lake. With no known environmental study in place to refer to, the Ministry has just come up with an idea to extend the Park boundaries across the Ardoch Road to incorporate access to Big Gull Lake. What is the reason? There is a bigger hidden addenda here that they are not telling us about. More discussion needs to be had and to do this during a PANDEMIC, really. As well not to notify all stakeholders on Big Gull Lake only those that are within a certain distance of the Park or land claim. Shameful.

To whom it may concern: I oppose the provincial park on big full lake for the following reasons: 1)the public consultation process was rushed and inadequate, giving the current cottagers and users of the lake very little time to comment and understand the implications. 2) the lack of proper consultation with cottagers has created a very bad climate towards province, potential provincial park users and administration unnecessarily. Pushing this through secretly and rapidly will lead to long term court battles and strife which serves no one. 3) I believe the environmental assessment has many flaws including a lack of understand of the impact on lake water quality which is used as the primary drinking water supply for many existing locals and cottagers. This must be specifically addressed. 4) there is a fragile balance of wild life and plants on the lake which means we need to know much more about the potential uses of the provincial park ie number of visitors, plans for buildings, septics prior to any approval. We have very strict building codes on the lake. I would also like assurances that local input and regulation would apply here. 5) lastly, not one person I know on the lake or in the local area support the inclusion of big gull lake in this provincial park. It is very difficult for us little people to be heard, so I ask that you please hear our comments and at a minimum allow 1 year reprieve for cottagers to learn, understand and comment. I know some locals have just learned about this proposal just this week - January 7th 2021. Evidence that public consultation was not done correctly. That is not fair to people. Your decisions today will effect the lake forever, why not slow down and make the correct decision. Thank you for your consideration. Jacob Ruiter 1044 Oak Ridge Point Lane.
