South Africa obviously has no interest in increasing tourism. The Vatican in Italy has 25000 visitors per day and SA?

If this amendment goes through, it will put a lot of local people out of work. With the economy as it is now, this would be a criminal to rob people of their lively hood. People at our filed are STARVING. Children go to school without breakfast or lunch!!! Think of the children!!!! We as a nation, can NOT afford to treat our people so badly!!

Unlicensed aerodromes are essential to aviation in Africa. The livelihood of many people in rural areas will be impacted by this shortsited proposal. These airstrips are an essential part of African flying and enhance safety by serving as alternates for aircraft in distress.

Apart from limited registered airfields, in vast areas, most of them do not even have Avgas available. On the other hand, most unregistered airfields are kept in very good condition by the owners, and they have Avgas available.
People like us, in faraway places, have to fly to nearest places with Avgas, to fill up, before we can even fly to our selected destinations. It is not a good idea to restrict unlicensed aerodromes!
