This is another example of "we don't want to understand it, so we will stop it" There is no real advantage to this action except to be counter-supportive to the general aviation community.

What has unlicensed aerodromes got to do with CAA as far as a private aerodrome is concerned. Surely a farmer is entitled to make an airstrip on his farm, and does not have to be licensed!! The pilots use such an aerodrome entirely at their own risk.

There is no reason for CAA to want to register private airfields. what is happening here is beauraucratic meddling and a pen pusher trying to justify a job, and frankly infringing on our constitutional rights to live without govt interfering in our daily lives. Private airstrips are not a security threat as they are private and if used for illegal activities then that is an issue for the police to investigate that activity. This is akin to requiring each home owner being required to license their driveway and if they park on an unregistered one then they are breaking the law....really CAA !!

this would be a great to the aviation world as how would interested parties gain access to becoming pilots.... it would cripple a very viable ecominical industry

We use private airfields for ou day to day business. If I can not use them I will close businesses and people will loose jobs!

By implementing these regulations, the whole character of recreational aviation will be changed for the worse. There is no evidence whatever that safety or pilot competence will in any way be improved, in fact, possibly the opposite.

I would like a CAA that is interested in encouraging general aviation instead of killing it because we LOVE it.
