Not convinced that this design has been fully studied. There are other design issues that need to be addressed along Monroe (eg, ineffective/hazardous curb cuts, bike lanes with limited sight distance, etc)

As a biker, I oppose making 8th street one way. This is not a well thought out idea. As a brookland resident, I do not support making it harder to businesses to survive if for residents to find parking.

This action will lose a lot of customers going in and out of the city. It could force this small business to close, and we want to keep businesses like this in a he neighborhood.

They already removed the left turn from Monroe St. to 8th Street, and it is already causing more traffic back-ups. I oppose DDOT recommendations.

What is occurring is discrimination against drivers by limiting road ways to accommodate bikes. It’s absurd that this is an arbitrary decision and ignoring tax payers.

Before we know it every street in Eckington and Edgewood will be turned to one way streets! 10th Street (off RI Avenue) is one way causing people who live on 10th & Franklin, Hamlin, Girard, etc) to travel to 12th Street and back over to 10th. Uggghhh! Once people leave the MBT (travelling to and from their destinations), they are done for the day! Why keep using the excuse these changes are being made for safety reasons. The Mayor and DDOT officials are trying to make DC into a mini-NY with all these one-way conversions. Enough already!
