DDOT seems to have an agenda that serves their own ideology. Just drove down a lengthy stretch of Irving St. NW where they have done the same thing. Useless empty bike lanes that impede traffic for no good purpose except to satisfy activist bicyclists and pour hard earned tax dollars down the drain!

The city has to put majority rights into consideration. Parking and one way drive could impact neighborhood.

DDOT the streets are not big enough to accommodate what you are trying to do. It will take away from parking spaces and it will cause more accidents to cars that are parked. Who is ordering this?

No one way street needed on 8th nor do you need dedicated bike lanes, I ride this street to get to the bike trial with my child and there is not enough vehicle traffic to warrant such a change

The historic hardware store that is located here requires car traffic and parking to operate effectively. There are enough bike lanes and one ways in dc! Already, Ubers and delivery vehicles stop in the middle of the street when these changes have been undertaken. While I understand the need for bike lanes, DC needs to better balance with other forms of transportation and business activity, including consideration for handicapped and other individuals who cannot be expected to ride a bike or vulnerable people who fear violence on the public transportation. Also, there is so much trash in the bike lanes that is not addressed by the city, I know of people getting in accidents and injured from the debris that continues to go unaddressed. On this street, vehicle traffic and parking must be a priority

I go to the hardware store and if the street is changed to a one way street, I’m not sure Annie’s will be my go to for a quick trip to pick up supplies. It would increase my gas and time spent getting there. Everyone isn’t in walking distance or able to carry their items home from there. Please consider others when making traffic decisions.
