Please sign the petition to object to planning application 19/19/0009, the erection of 12. No dwellings with associated works at field located to the west of Station Road and south of Home Orchard, Hatch Beauchamp.

Somerset West and Taunton Council made the decision to refuse the application on the 10th December 2019 but the applicant started an appeal process on the 23rd April 2020.

In submitting this petition, we query the legality of this planning appeal. Although the Government is encouraging everything to be default digital, we understand that the MHCLG has stated that a consultation carried out solely online would not meet the legal tests i.e. the process would be inequitable for a variety of people who would ordinarily have access to a variety of sources of information and response methods. In addition, the current pandemic situation means people have a wide variety of more pressing issues to deal with than a consultation.
