Albany road is already over developed and there is a significant shortage of parking space for existing residents, so creating more flats will only increase the problem.
In addition it is important to preserve affordable family homes for families who want to move to the area and enjoy the parks.

This goes against the council's Local Development Plan which states there are already insufficient family homes compared with flat conversion.

The area is becoming overcrowded. Parking may become extremely difficult. Pollution levels are very high.

I used to live on Albany Road until a year ago, and the area is already struggling to provide sufficient parking, bin storage spaces etc for the residents. These are family homes, and should be maintained as such.

I live on nearby Connaught Road in one of the very few unconverted houses. I really wish fewer of them had been turned into flats. With a few exceptions, the landlords are just trying to make a quick buck and don't look after the properties. The residents are usually short term and have no incentive to look after the place especially since their landlord doesn't. We need a higher percentage of owner occupied houses in the area to keep the community going.

I totally object to the application to turn this family house into a property of multiple occupancy. The extra bins, parking required, noise pollution and litter generated would degrade the area further.
