A planning application has been made to convert yet another family home on Albany Road into 4 two bedroom flats. This is a huge overdevelopment of the site and residents living nearby believe will have an impact locally in particular on services, parking etc as well as direct impact on immediate neighbours in terms of light and privacy. There appears to be a trend in these conversions that the council are approving. This petition is objecting against the plans at 225 Albany Road but is far wider reaching in terms of the longer term impact of conversions on Albany Road.

We have been told that if we can get a petition of 50 signatures of residents who are on the electoral roll we can speak at the committee considering this application.

We have support of an AM, MP and local councillors but this may not be enough to prevent such overdevelopment.
