SAY NO to Planning Application for DPD Depot centre at the Moorehouse site on A25

This is inappropriate development in Green belt and out of context with the local setting. It will cause serious traffic implications onto an already congested A25

I am strongly against this planning to be passed as it will increase traffic to an already predominantly used road (a25) through westerham and Oxted! There is no suggested plan to widen the roads, and this concerns me as there are primary/ secondary schools and local business that already struggle with parking as a result of the single carriage road. Not only that but the safety of horse riders and pedistrians on that stretch of road is already at the limit of approved safety, in my opinion! To approve such a large scale construction would be ludicrous on a green belt area. Green belt was put in place to protect our countryside and if we approve this plans to go ahead we may aswel abolish the green belt altogether. There are people living in the green belt area which have been applying to make alterations to their property who have been rejected for this reason(green belt) yet the council are prepared to allow a 60,000sqft. Building to be built in a green belt area. Makes you question the councils priority and the locality to local resisdents. As stated; these sorts of buildings with that huge scale are usually situated in existing Industrial zones.

This application is totally without regard for the residents of the area and the environment. HGVs already cause nightmare situations on the A25 and surrounding roads. Just look at the continuous damage on the B269 and A22 link road from the M25.

There is no way that this is an acceptable decision for this area. The increased traffic load would damage local roads and the environment, offering no discernible benefit to the locals.

Dangerous for Limpsfield School pupils

The few positives for this depot in no way outweigh the negatives of misuse of greenbelt land and traffic generated by such a large business

8 Stanhopes, RH8 0TY Oxted; Already the A25 is struggling to cope with the traffic flows - particularly wide vehicles can easily create long lines of cars behind them, where they are trying to navigate the narrow roads through the towns and villages. The road infrastructure is just not laid out to cope with heavy vehicle traffic and would cause major disruptions for all other traffic participants (including the other businesses).

Please, please do not allow this to go ahead. My son has recently started at limpsfield school and this depot would have a significant impact on safety for the children in terms in the road and how busy the general area will be - it will be significantly more dangerous. The A25 is alreadg busy and cannot sustain increased traffic. I think this would be the beginning of the end for Oxted, Limpsfield and Westerham villages, but when this negative impact is seen it will be too late to change anything.

The local roads are of such a poor state and would be unable to support the significant increase in HGV and associated vehicles resulting from the development of this site which should be returned to its original natural state prior to it being quarried or for local recreational use

This application fails to address the reasons why it was originally turned down and will severely blight the local area permanently

4, Gwynedd Close, Tatsfield I strongly object to this planning application. The narrow roads through Westerham and the surrounding villages are already severely congested. The impact of this depot on Westerham and the surrounding villages will be devastating.

Traffic through the historic town of Westerham is already atrocious and rush hour on the A25 will be ridiculous. Put this on an industrial estate somewhere!

Our local roads and the A25 cannot cope with the amount of extra traffic this will cause. If there is a problem with the M25 this depot will make going about our daily business and commuting very difficult
