SAY NO to Planning Application for DPD Depot centre at the Moorehouse site on A25

This development would bring very limited employment or benefit to the area while at the same time significantly increasing road traffic on an already overloaded road at peak times. It would also set an unwelcome precedent for further development.

This will cause an increase in traffic, noise and pollution in the area without any real benefit to the local community

Traffic on the A25 has increased noticeably in the past few years. I think the extra movements resulting from the proposed development would be quite intolerable and would result in congestion issues both west and east of the site.

A ridiculous proposition in an area that just can't take it. Totally against. How on earth can Westerham cope with this. Also, very close to a school crossing.

This depot would be totally out of place here in Oxted area. Please take it elsewhere preferably in the middle of a city so that we do not ruin yet another expanse of our beautiful countryside.

Do not want this dpd depot! The air quality in westerham is bad enough with adding more fumes! Also the extra traffic would cause mayhem to the local residents!

We do not want extra volume of traffic through our lovely town.

This site is not appropriate for such development. The roads are unsuitable and already jammed with traffic.

I drive to Oxted daily and the traffic is bad enough! I also spend a lot of time in Westerham, and the trucks and lorrys passing are bad enough, it would be worse with the DPD trucks. And when the M25 is at a standstill, so is the A25.

The a25 cannot cope with more traffic, especially large vans, lorries etc, westerham, sundridge etc are small villages with small residential properties whose windows are a few metres from the road!

There are already traffic jams regularly in Westerham and Brasted sometimes for no apparent reason. Whenever there is a problem on the M25 no-one can move all along the A25, this will happen more regularly and be much worse with so many more lorries and vans along those roads. So much traffic is very polluting and with increase noise and pollution in the villages along the A25 and make it very unpleasant to live there or to visit. It seems like the companies are underestimating the number of parcels they will deliver and the van journeys deliberately, if the proposals are accepted there won't be a way to stop the greater numbers being processed there. The buildings themselves will be tall and large, and won't blend in with the surroundings. Please find somewhere else for this development which doesn't impact our busy roads so much. Vanessa Lydon

The A25 isn't a suitable road for a high volume of heavy vehicles.it's too narrow. It already takes a pounding when there's a problem on the M25. The villages along the proposed area are full history and natural beauty and that will be lost. If this planning goes ahead, the next thing will be applications to widen the road! Please choose a more viable location.

It's chaos already around Oxted, save the green belt!!
