This planning application was kept very low key, there has been no public consultation and that is a disgrace in itself. Blaenau is not the right area for such a facility, there is no hospital, two doctors to cover the area from Llan Ffestiniog, Blaenau and Dolwyddelen. Blaenau has enough problems without importing more from the Rhyl area.
According to information received it is not going to be a residential educational centre but a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, I believe that the location is totally unsuitable for such an establishment. There are a number of reasons for opposing this application which I can explain further if need be
I strongly object to this application for the following reasons: 1) This facility would not be beneficial to Blaenau Ffestiniog or its residents. 2) The access onto A496 from the property causes significant risks as traffic volume to Plas Dolwen increases. Highways agency should consider this.
our town is addapting to the fact that we have no hospital, will have no Dr's, and education is key...as the 3rd most populated town in north wales, we never said we we're perfect but we don't deserve this.........we're trying to build a future for our children, not destroy it.
we dont want this in the town. For started the planned area is not 200 yards from a school. secondly why cant Rhyl have it if it only to be used by those from rhyl area. why bring ghem to Blaenau.

seeing as we've lost the local hospital, and there will be a severe lack of medical practitioners in the area from next year, is it really appropriate to have this type of facility? Focus on resolving the existing problems first before introducing new ones.
