Object to Weston View Green Space Development Plans Now

Bad for the environment, why faciliate loss of the green land when Sheffield has plenty of brownfield sites. This goes against national and local policy and strategy recommendations from the word go. the fact is that it is too crowded in S10 already, we don't need more residential buildings. It is a plan so poorly conceived it is almost predatory - 9 parking space for 9 flats along an already very busy road connecting north and west Sheffield to the centre. Why did political parties have to contact residents due to no actual neighbourhood consultation apart from a blank sheet on the website and no announcement or invitation like other plans? Even following basic information provision to residents was not given (it was up to local residents to tell each other after a Party letter, no comms were received). The wellbeing effect on our children and our lives is well documented from government and academic studies on green space and overbuilding in spaces too small. I am concerned the procedural flaws and factual incorrectness of the submissions are already potentially unlawful. Many children enjoy the footpath on bikes or with pets. A terribly selfish plan. I hope the High Court is invoked swiftly if this application is not routinely dismissed for process flaws and multiple policy breaches, I respectfully submit.

The informal green space concerned is, contrary to the repeated assertions throughout the applicant’s statement, used by residents and local people, especially in warmer weather. It is noted that the proposal suggests the new flats will have balconies for outside space. The existing flats have no balconies. Our outside space is the informal green space proposed for development. Our service charges pay for its maintenance. It should be remembered that this site was previously a works sports ground, dedicated for the healthy recreation of Sheffield workers. Planning permission for the existing dwellings was conditional on some recreational amenity being maintained on the site. That remaining recreational amenity should not be further eroded now.

Leave the green spaces alone!!

This green space is at the heart of the community used and enjoyed by many residents. Please don't build over it and take yet another precious green space in the city.

This area is used by local community. Is there not a reservoir in this area too

A small valued piece of green land in the City priding itself on green space is now going to be overdeveloped, building yet more unnecessary apartments with no thought or concern for residents who are rightly proud of Crookes and so should Sheffield Planners and protect the fast diminishing green space. This area has had a lot of development over the previous years and maybe the time is now for the planners to consider clean air,green space over profit.

The proposed plan includes insufficient parking spaces for the number of apartments, dwellers and visitors. It also means increasing the traffic to an already tight development on a narrow, bendy road.

Please stop this plan! It is madness.

As a resident of Weston View, I highly value the green space for the view and sense of openness. The space is in regular use by many people, including families, exercisers and dog walkers. Losing the green space would have a major detrimental effect on the community.

Please do my allow this development to proceed and destroy a vital local green space to disappear. This developer has already tried to circumvent the legal process and has completely ignored attempts by locals to discuss issues and we believe this attitude with this development would continu

I object to this development plan. Must keep the green spaces.

I strongly object to this proposed development. Green space is a necessity.

No more building in this area please. We already had hundreds of more properties on the other side of Weston View recently, lots of council blocks at the back of Weston View, what else!!!!!!

We need more green area in crooks. Less traffic and less danger.

We often take children to play on this green space, please keep it!

This is the only green space in walking distance to my house. It was one of the reasons we bought the house, that we had accessible green space for our growing family. There is already enough pollution and traffic on this road, adding to this would be disastrous for all locals.

Really imposing. Awful. Hard to ignore and would really lose the character of the area.
