Object to Weston View Green Space Development Plans Now

I completely agree with you Sam. This is a very poorly designed building and is only detrimental to the area, rather than an improvement.

The proposed building will have a detrimental effect on the surrounding area and I oppose this development. 1) The building style is not keeping with the surrounding buildings. The Crookes road facing wall is unattractive and unsightly for such a popular area. 2) The height of the building blocks a significant amount of public view, for nearby households and for road/ pavement users. 3) Weston View road has very few free parking areas and the proposed garage only allows one car per apartment. Surrounding roads are already are congested with parking and this will only add to the problem.

I object to this proposed planning on the following grounds: - Reduction of green space - Increase in parking issues - Increase in traffic - Increase accident risk - Disruption during building work

I object to this proposed development. The area is already overpopulated , there is a lack of parking spaces and too much traffic congestion already. This building would take away green space that the local community badly needs. The flats would be right on the main road, and the building work and its noise and atmospheric pollution would harm the environment. Surely this tiny space is not right to build upon otherwise the original Weston View development would have proposed just such a scheme. Please don't let it go ahead.

I oppose this development due to current overpopulation of the area, the reduction of already limited green space and the impact to the area due to the construction.

Air and Noise Pollution levels will increase with additional traffic congestion. The local ecology and Wildlife will suffer irreversible loss. This green space is used on a daily basis for exercise by local children and elderly residents. This area is already too overdeveloped. The balance between nature and urbanisation will be lost forever. Please consider our local environment, physical and mental wellbeing. Thank you

Has the council learnt nothing about the need to preserve green spaces?

This proposal is simply the latest in a long running series of urban developments, taking advantage of the mistaken designation of what used to be an open greenfield site as a brownfield site in the Sheffield UDP back in the 1990's. This was based on a technical loophole, provided by the existence of a sports pavilion on the site together with accommodation for the field's groundsman. This has allowed the owners of this site to push through a series of planning applications, each one in turn vigorously opposed by local residents, whose views have been invariably supported by the opposition party in the council but rejected by the ruling party, whose representative on the respective planning committees have used their majority to vote en bloc to ignore and override all objections. I regret that this is a pattern likely to be repeated this time round, as former reassurances and undertakings - to the effect that no further development would take place - are conveniently forgotten and promises broken.

I have a baby and the construction noise is harmful to his growth, and it stops sunlight from reaching the place, more cars is dangerous as well.

I am old with cardiovascular disease and I hate the working noises, and it sits on the grass I take sunbathe on.

The area is already populated and there is not enough parking space.

Just too many small green spaces being developed. Spaces like this are essential in built up areas for exercise and mental health. This area is part of Crookes history.

Totally against building on this green space

Inappropriate development with an overcrowded use of a space valued by local residents and others. I have a friend that lives locally and who doesn't walk well. this is a perfect trip for him. I ma told service charges pay for the maintenance. so it is at no coast to the council. Please leave this area alone

I object to the plans for a block of 3/4 storey apartments to be built on Weston View. This space is used by dog-walkers and other exercisers, and is a source of wellbeing for local residents and the community at large. I do not wish for more buildings to be erected, more traffic and damage to the environment on Weston View. I object to these buildings that stand to overlook my home, balcony or local community area, or that of my neighbours and pose a threat to community and individual wellbeing. Council planners should reject this ill-considered planning application.

I object to the wanton destruction of a precious piece of green space with such biodiversity. I walked on that patch this morning and counted at least 15 different meadow flowers.

I object to this plan. The area already crowded. Council should protect green areas.
