That apartment complex should be built somewhere more urban, like Nampa. Star is a nice little rural community...we like it that way. We are just renting right now, but plan to buy a home in Star . If that apartment complex is built we will not buy in Star. We own a home in upstate New York we cannot sell because there is too much government housing in that city.

I highly object to this. We are a rural town. This is not wanted by our community, I guarantee it. Build this near jobs, a bus system, grocery stores, etc...

I'm just seeing some increase in my property value/ with that comes higher tax, OK. I don't want higher taxes to cover the none tax paying low income people this project will bring to my community. I do know the developer would pay taxes but not nere enough.

Before an apartments complex such as this is built in Star, we need to have public transportation, jobs, etc. to support the growth that will come to the community . Growth can be a great thing, if it's done properly and in the right order... Which would be to have the infrastructure, jobs and transportation in place, not just planned, before any buildings are planned or go up!

The city of Star does not have the infrastructure for this complex of low income housing to be built. Our city is underdeveloped and cannot support the low income inhabitants. My main concern deals with the increasing population of the city and elementary school, which would only put a detriment to our students' educational needs; which then leads to a better reason as to why our state lacks at providing quality education. We have minimal public transportation as a state, and even more so in the city of Star. Demographically speaking, a complex like this would not be a positive economic decision due to minimal public transportation. There are no job opportunites for these "prospective" low income inhabitants, hereby coming to the personal conclusion that this project is not feasible by any means and does not provide the opportunity for these low income groups to rise their economic mobility. Overall, I object this project and do not see this as a positive addition to our community.

We were among the first people to build in Pinewood Lakes over ten years ago. We have invested both money and sweat to have a nice home and to live in a nice neighborhood. The plan for the front property on Pinewood Lakes was never meant to be for low income housing, this is not what we bought into, nor what was represented to us when we built here. I agree with many of my neighbors, it will have a negative effect on our property values, bring in possible, drugs, crime, add a burden to schools, no means for supporting services, etc. We DO NOT support this at all.

How about finishing the proposed junior high, build a high school finally, and work harder to attract more business and jobs to this area before even considering affordable housing. There are so many things that need to happen in Star first.

Very poor location safety wise for cars getting in and out of the housing units. Schools are already in portables - new children would make that issue worse. There is no public transportation out here - poor site for low income- very few jobs in Star.

I was promised that the land in front of Pinewood Lakes would stay commercial and be filled with businesses within walking distance of my home. This highway site is not the place for low income apartments for families and children. We do not have public transportation, jobs or the businesses in our community to support the potential 200 people. If there is a vote, mine is no.

Apartments should not be built along a state highway next to business. This should stay for businesses. We do not have enough businesses here in Star so leave the area to get some services. We need to keep commercial area here in Star. We are against this development!!! It reduces the value of already existing property!!!

Would not like this to happen. Would rather see a nice Grocery store or a business that would give jobs for the local people.
