The Master Plan calls for services, did all the work by the many committees developing the plan go to waist? Up to this point not as much as could have been done, but that is the current administrations fault.

Star needs commercial growth to be able to sustain any type of low income complex. We need to make sure we have the appropriate jobs, services, and transportation in place before one is built. Needless to say the property that's it's proposed to be built on should be used for commercial growth. Please be smart and not selfish. Take a page out of another successful cities book, and don't write your own.

Apartments in general and Low Income Housing in specific historically bring problems into neighborhoods. Star has a quiet, safe, pleasant, and family oriented environment which this project endangers.

The fact that the City is even considering rezoning a prime piece of tax producing commercial property to residential designation shows how short sighted our City Council is. We need more tax revenue producing businesses. How about another market, hardware store, dining establishment, etc. to enhance the City. Low income housing drains tax monies and despite what some have said, does lower property values.
