Very disappointed that we have little choice, happy enough with the compromise.

Would prefer to stay at Baranoff, but am willing to compromise for the new Elementary School as it is safer for my child (no dangers crossing one of the most dangerous intersections in the city, as the first child who dies as a result of that decision is just plain murder) and additionally on a more reasonable choice (route, similarity, etc). I am very disappointed how little insight has gone to parents before this decision and hope that our voices are at least heard this time around and greatly will appreciate it if so.

I support keeping Oak Parke at Baranoff Elem. My 2nd choice would be to go to the new SW Elem. Education should be the MOST IMPORTANT piece of this equation. See the most recent STAAR results/rankings from a KXAN.com story highlighting Mendez MS school as just one example. Baranoff Elem ranked 6th in AISD Elem Schools.
6 Baranoff 92%
64 Kocurek 69%
23% difference

I support leaving the Oak Park neighborhood at Baranoff or sending them to the new SW Elementary school.

We want the kids to stay where they are. They should not be sent to a low-performing school. We, as well as other people, bought our home according to the current school not thinking we'd ever be switched to a low performing school. Thank you!

If a rezone must be decided upon, we strongly support the move to SW Elementary.

I strongly object to the Oak Parke neighborhood being moved to a lower performing school. It makes no sense to add more students to a school that is already receiving government funds and yet can’t hrlp the children they have. Since adding pre-K and getting money is more important to the district then move OAK Parke to the new SW Elementary- we’ve been that way before.
