When the drinking age was moved from 18 to 21 the 18’s old were grandfathered into the new laws. Why isn’t this being done for this new law.

As someone who was of age and able to use these products, it is unfair that suddenly we are unable because of the new law.

The age should still be 18 and the government should leave our rights to smoke both cigarettes and flavored vape products alone

My feelings on this is. If a 18 yr old can go fight for our country. Then they should be allowed to have a tobacco product or alcohol and be able to purchase it

I totally agree because if you're illegal and then the law goes into effect and all the sudden you're magically not legal and the fact that you can go into service and go fight in a war at age 18 but you can't have a cigarette if that's what you want or even a drink but you can get killed in war at 18 and that's okay. WHY???? PS. If you're old enough to decide you want to go into the army navy Marines then you're old enough to decide for yourself if you want to smoke a cigarette or have a drink and now New York wants to let 16 year old vote if they're capable of making decision on who to vote for then they're capable of making other decisions in their life this all contradicts what the powers-that-be want you to believe

I'm turning 21 in 5 month and I've been smoking sense I was 16 there is no reason not to let me continue to buy it for myself. Or I'll just have others buy it for me. Everyone thinks this is dumb, aren't there more important things to write laws a out.

This new law is so unfair to the 18 year olds who could buy for themselves. Now, theyre stuck with either nothing, or theyll just simply have someone older buy stuff for them. This law only creates more underage tobacco use because chances are it wont stop any 18 year old. Just grandfatherclause the people who were already 18 in. Thats fair. And it creates more buisiness, and you guys love your tax money. Its a win win

I think that if I get absolutely beat up on my taxes in my paycheck and that I could go fight for our country at 19 the age I am but I cannot buy myself a pack of Marlboro red 100’s in a box than shot that don’t make any sence

I was 18 way before this law took place. You should really give us the grandfather law. Some people are addicted to nicotine but are 18 or higher but arent just 21 yet.
