Nys grandfather law to individuals over 18 years old before 11/13/19

I’ve bought cigarettes since my 18th birthday! And now can’t? I think people who have already been buying should still be able to but people just turning 18 shouldnt. This law needs fixed

Thank you to whomever is reading through these comments. As someone who can no longer purchase tobacco products due to the new laws being implemented I would like to share my opinon. I have been an avid smoker since I was 16 years old. I am now 8 months shy of being able to buy my own tobacco products. I have been purchasing tobacco legally for 2 years. I have an addiction and I'm not ashamed to say that. However I'm currently faced with a choice now. To find someone I trust willing to break the law for me and provide me with state sanctioned cigarettes, or buy them from a sketchy guy downtown for double sometimes triple the price. This law is affecting my mental health by essentially forcing me to quit smoking prematurely which is adding unnecessary stress to my every day life. As well as effecting my mental status this law is first and foremost affecting my wallet. People don't break the law for you for free.

no matter what they are going to do it you are just causing more problems in the long run because there is a higher risk of someone getting in trouble for buying a "minor" tobacco products even though they weren't a "minor" 2 days ago

make it happen. this is like when the drinking age went from 18 to 19 then to 21 and kids at on the younger side went back and forth between being able to drink and not being able to.

It’s ridiculous to think that 18 year olds can die for this country and be charged as an adult but dint get any of the benefits of being an adult suck as buying tobacco or nicotine products or being able to buy alcohol just doesn’t make sense to me
