Nys grandfather law to individuals over 18 years old before 11/13/19

Yeah i just turned 20 and would appreciate if these grandfather laws would be set in place

Been smoking since 11/25/2018

If we are arrested we are charged as an adult at age 16-18, you can be 18 to enter a tanning salon so we should be able to buy what ever at 18 I understand alcohol being 21 or older but stop pushing it

I feel the law should be overturned altogether. You can die for your country and vote but you cannot smoke or drink? This won’t get kids to quit, they’ll always get it from somewhere. Sincerely, a 17 year old who started smoking cigs at 14.

I mean there isnt much to say other than you can fight for your country at 18 and blow someone's brains out but cant buy tobacco anymore its rediculous and taking away what feels like a right that people waited for when they were in or graduated from highschool and now cant buy it just dumb it wouldve been okay I guess if there was a grandfather clause put in the law like people before the year 2001 or so I wouldnt have been opposed to the law but that's not how it is so I'm 100% for this petition

I've been able to buys cigs for almost 3 years, but now I can't. This isnt going to stop kids vaping like they think it will, they'll just do the same thing they do with alcohol

I do belive the vapes ruined it for all I’ve been chewing sence I was 15 and just turned 18 last year so I’ve been finally able to get my nicotine legally an not haveing somebody else risk it to go get it now I have to resort on doing that again ain’t that great

I am currently almost 20 and it’s not right to not grandfather anyone that was already over the age of 18

I've been buying cigarettes for 2 years, and now all of a sudden I can't? Just pretty inconvenient

The new law is stupid

It's the definition of the law (statutation*) the individuals were lawfully able to obtain tobacco at the age of 18 as a free American adult in November 2019 then its against the law for anyone under the age of 21.. 24 hours later November 16th unethical and violating simple freedoms of a young adult can go on and on no since taking to a screen would rather articulate my argument in person to an authoritarian decision maker ...... I'm 19 years old I've lived in this town most my life and I'm a smoker I can't buy smokes i can't buy lighters I can't buy anything to do with smoking
