Nys grandfather law to individuals over 18 years old before 11/13/19

I just dont think it's fair at all, I've been able to purchase tobacco for over a year and a half and now I cant. People under 18 I understand but grandfather the ones in who were already older than 18

Changing the age limit isn’t going to stop them from trying to get smokes. It happened when they changed the age to 18. So it’s not going to make any difference now. If they want to smoke they will find ways to get it.

I think you should be grandfathered in if you were 18 before this law turned into effect. You can go fight for your country and die. But you can’t get a pack of smokes that’s crazy.

Even myself in the military falling under federal law coming home on leave from a Tobacco 18 state am not able to buy a can of smokeless tobacco.

Still not sure what raising the age to 21 is accomplishing I knew a lot of kids under 18 who drank beer in highschool

I agree, I don't think anyone who was 18 before the new law was in effect should be punished. They should be grandfathered in. But anyone who wasn't 18 by 2019 should have to wait.

I strongly disagreed with this law in the first place. So yes I believe if you were already 18 after the law was passed they should have the right gladly sign the petition.

I’ve been buying cigarettes for a year, now all the sudden I’m not allowed to. If I was able to before I should be able to now.

I’m 19 years old about to be 20 in February it’s ridiculous I gotta wait another year and 3 months to be able to buy tobacco products till I’m 21

I have been able to buy tobacco products for almost four years now I turn 21 in march so this doesn't bother me to much but there are already enough laws being put into effect taking away so many more of people's right's the least you can do is allow people of the age of 18 before 11/13/19 be grandfathered out
