Nys grandfather law to individuals over 18 years old before 11/13/19

Although a nicotine addiction is currently a growing epidemic in my surrounding towns, many teens and young adults who are smokers/vape users have legal access to these things with ease, removing the ability to get them will only cause once law abiding citizens to take advantage of said law and distribute these items without proper licensing. I would much rather see people who are of age enjoying a cigarette, VS many illegal distributors handing these items out to anyone with the money. I dont want to see people breaking laws just to maintain a nicotine addiction.

I believe this should be grandfathered in because the government makes more money off 18-19 year olds than people 21 and up

I strongly agree that there should be a grandfather clause implemented because those like myself who have been able to purchase and use nicotine products should be allowed to continue use if they so desire. I'd like to add that if I have the ability to kill for my country I should be able to enjoy consumerism on this level when I please.

When i turned 18 the law was raised to 21 in Schenectady county i was so irritated and pissed and it made me have to get more tobacco products when i could seeing that we didnt get grandfathered over

18 year olds who smoked prior to the law would end up asking family or older friends to buy their cigarettes for them.

I bought tobacco products literally two days before the law passed and now I can’t. It’s unfair.

I still get my cigarettes one way or another, the state is just losing money. I’ve waited 18 years don’t take away my rights. Especially when you can go fight it war but can’t smoke a cigarette.

I am 19 years old my D.O.B. Is 2/9/00 I smoke cigarettes about a pack a day and I have since I was 18. Now I can’t buy any. This law is unconstitutional. You can fight for you’re country and get shot at 18 but you can’t buy a damn pack of smokes

I feel as this law should allow grandfather law. It is NOT fair to change the laws causing more crime, more danger. You allowed to risk you’re life for the country at 18 you should be able to decode weather or not you want to destroy you’re health at 18
