NYCA Charter School is a Charter School devoted solely to the education of children with a diagnosis of autism. I have read that one of the major criticisms that are made of Charter Schools in general is that they don't take their fair share of children with disabilities. While I don't know the truth of this allegations for other Charter schools, NYCA's entire studenty population is made up of children with Autism. So NYCA is devoted solely to teaching children wtih disabilities.
