The conditions of most shelters & pounds in NY are appalling. Beautiful dogs & cats that are young and very adoptable are being killed. Animal intake paperwork is being lost, also at some shelters no paperwork is done. This is allowing these poor animals fate to become bait animals or sent to animal testing facilities. We are demanding only what is humane and the right thing to do.

We are stewards of this earth not judges or the creator of this earth and many living thinga. As stewards we should care and respect all life in all forms. It is not ours to take away life. What goes on at the nyacc is beyond unacceptable. I am sickened on a daily basis after seeing all the atrocities they commit. Killing a animal for space is not euthanasia its murder! They leave sick and injured animals in pain without proper treatment. They used expired drugs when they kill the animals&drugs that arent even approved in most areas. If you find any of these sickening behaviors and more acceptable how can you even consider yourself a human being. Everything that can be done to make every animal at every NYCACC should be done to get them adopted, fostered or rescued before they are neutered!! They should be kept well or given proper medical care, whichever they need. They should have clean, disease free buildings to stay at until they do get adopted. NYC should be protecting innocent and precious animals that for, whatever reason wind up in a shelter, through no fault of their own, and never be making a profit off their suffering!!!

Beyond a time for Change! Nycacc needs a complete overhaul - fire ALL those allowing the despicable murdering of the innocent animals in their "care!" Re-hire those with compassion who will actually help these precious beings find new homes.... Nycacc certainly doesn't even try! This is a travesty!

NYCACC are a disgrace. We are asking for the Dr. who oversees the ACC in NYC to step down and allow someone who cares to do the job.
