We, the Juniors and Seniors of North Valleys High School, petition to have the new rule concerning the parking lots and student access during school hours repealed. Only students that are on track to graduate should be able to access the parking lot, meaning, all credits required up to the point in which they are needed and passed all proficiencies if already taken them. Meaning, Juniors that have not taken the writing proficiency yet, should be allowed to access the parking lot as well. New rule for access to the parking lot during school hours- -“Students will not be allowed to access the parking lot during lunch time. You should be prepared to have all materials for your day. No access will be granted during the school day without prior approval.” Excerpt from the North Valleys High School Student Handbook 2011-2012.
