The Hartford-New Haven market has been in the top five markets for television viewership in the 2014 World Cup. There are great youth, scholastic, college, and adult amateur soccer programs throughout the state. Having a professional soccer team would benefit the entire Connecticut soccer community as well as the region in general. Soccer is a growing sport and the community-minded aspect of soccer supporters has benefited the many markets in the USA that now have professional soccer team and it's time to bring it to Connecticut!

The emails I send to investors are mostly ignored but the passion I see in the local soccer community keeps me going. It is a grind to build this from nothing yet the hunger for a professional team here remains undeniable.

Seeing this level of interest confirms exactly what we felt when we started this journey. The skepticism is fading and the momentum proves that our state is ready for a professional team.

Please no "united" or "real" if this is to be taken seriously and not as an imitation of European football. And please no "Hartford" in the name as Hartford has a fairly un-inspiring reputation outside of Conn. Keep it simple. Connecticut FC, Athletic Club Connecticut, e.g. Let the supporters who evolve give the team a nickname. I'd put it in New Haven too. More panache than Hartford, College town, etc. Younger.
PLEASE keep it in New Haven. Hartford is a total ghost town after 5pm and nobody from the coast wants to drive all the way up there for a game.

Finally! Been waiting for years to have a local team to take the kids to on weekends. Rents are high but the turnout will be there if they market it right.

why not? it's a good investment and it's something that the whole family would enjoy
