Nurse-led cosmetic clinics’ authority to obtain and possess stock of cosmetic medicines

Seriously a disservice to small businesses who have struggled to get established. What a disgrace this new law would be. It Should be illlegal to Intoduce new legislation or interpretations of such that would put qualified and skilled people out of business .

This will put people out of work losing what they have worked so hard for, it is just illogical really.

I have worked as a Cosmetic Nurse for 25 years and trained many Doctors in this field. It does not make it safer having a Doctor onsite. Working collaboratively is the key, three are not enough Doctors as it is and this will drive prices up and take more epople form the hospital setting.

I have every faith in nurse-led clinics, which stems from many good experiences with these nurses.

Nurses undergo extensive training, work within strict regulatory frameworks, and collaborate with prescribing doctors to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficacy. Many of us have built our businesses with dedication and expertise, providing essential services to our communities. This proposed change would not improve patient safety—it would only limit access to care, undermine the role of highly skilled nurses, and create unnecessary barriers for both practitioners and patients. It’s a step backward for the healthcare industry, and I urge decision-makers to recognise the value of nurse-led clinics in delivering safe and effective treatments.

Most nurses are more knowledgeable and trained than doctors in cosmetic aesthetics.

Registered Nurse’s are more than capable in running cosmetic clinics, taking away telehealth will not do any good.

I have an incredible nurse injector who deserves to continue to run her business.

This will literally cost the livelihood of so many hard working nurses who have spent thousands and thousands on education , time, and experience to be where they are. This is only going to drive people away from Queensland. This is a really terrible idea.

If enforced, this interpretation could reduce treatment options, increase costs, and limit access to care, especially in rural and regional areas. It is also likely to encourage illegal operators, compromising patient safety.

Stop making it hard on those who aren’t stupid, We do our research before going ahead with a procedure. Put an age limit instead of punishing the mature woman. We don’t need you stepping in to make things safer for us. We’re not here idiots.
