There is nothing wrong with the way professional establishments currently conduct business. This bill would hinder the ability for a safe and cost effective treatment to be provided.

Nurses working in this area do a MASSIVE amount of study to enable safe work practices. This proposed legislation is going to have a huge negative impact on these businesses!

The correctly trained Nurses do a fabulous job in the injectable industry and helps keep it at an affordable rate. Doctors do charge too much for this service. It’s financial hard enough and now you want to take this away as well, that benefits mental health and appearance for a person.

If the rules are enforced it is undermining the massive knowledge base that 3-4 year trained university nurses have acquired. Cosmetic injectables are mostly performed by highly educated nurses who have advanced knowledge of anatomy, possible complications and the uniqueness and appropriateness of each product chosen. I can tell you that I have fun knowledge than many of the Drs about the particular products used and what would be most appropriate. This new proposal is dumbing down nurses. We’re good enough to give life saving medication and care and practice autonomously in other specialties so leave this one alone.

Nurse led clinics are an important way many access non surgical treatments and access caring and professional registered nurses. Nurses know how to safely and securely store medications and consult with doctors via Telehealth. This system is safe and should be allowed to operate for the benefit of the public and to show respect for the registered nurses who ensure safe and compliant practices. If there are concerns regarding safety and compliance then auditing of individuals should occur more.

I have been receiving cosmetic injectables for several years with an amazing registered nurse and always have a video call with a doctor before each treatment. I believe the nurses in this industry are super professional and safe and do an amazing job all round.

The nurse practitioners are more hands on and knowledgeable with injectable’s than doctors are.

My sister is a qualified RN who owns her own injectables clinic. I’ve not only watched her work so hard to be able to do what she does but have been treated by herself. She is honestly so professional at what she does and the work she does is absolutely gorgeous. It’s not only unnecessary for these actions to take course but it’s almost belittling to the hard work herself and all injectors have worked towards.

These changes would dramatically impact my business to the point of putting me out of business which I have heavily invested in. In turn, this will also impact my family financially, over the past 4 years I have heavily invested my time and money into my career and business as I am dedicated and commitment it’s providing high quality, safe medical cosmetic services. Being in a rural town, Telehealth is my only choice and with having 900+ patients in my data base, and this will directly impact them with the access to safe and effective cosmetic treatments. I fact, many of my patients express their personal preference to receive treatment from myself as a nurse over Doctor led clinic due to extra care and passion they have experienced while in my care, my patient-centred approach has led to good clinical outcomes, following of clinical standards and high patient satisfaction
