GST is the wrong tax for Anguilla. The people says no, so the answer MUST be no. If we still live in a democracy, but I’m not sure we do.

The Select Committee heard many better, alternative no- or low-cost proposals for raising funds for the Government. These suggestions should be implemented first. Otherwise the Select Committee might appear to be a cynically appointed waste-of-time.

I must save my birth place for my child and his children. We must not let none Anguillians whose only there for terms, decide for them nor us in these crucial times. SAY NO TO GST NOW NOT IN THIS GLOBAL PANDEMIC.

I am not satisfied with the outcome of this, we have to pay tax, but we need to get back on our feet first. No to GST for now.
