I, the humble and dedicated Green Bay Packers fan, am petitioning the retirement of Brett Lorenzo Favre, this day 2007 of the New Year. You have brought us hope, shown us toughness and bravery and placed a small town of Green Bay on the world wide map. In giving us all that you had, with a young squad and a big heart, larger than most, we understand that it is difficult to walk away from the game and go out on top. You gave your all, in creating a new dynasty, and brought back a title to a place, that thrives with the tradition of the green and gold. You typify the term "Iron Man". You took a team from the depths of rebuilding, steering the ship as you have many times before with a positive outlook. We ask that you come back for just one more year, and take us back to the promised land. There will only be one number 4 in our hearts, and when the bells of Canton toll, you will be gratuitously accepted into its humble abode. So in closing, you Brett Lorenzo Favre, must come back for one more year and end this chapter of your thrilling career, and make one last run to the Super Bowl. Thank you for being the greatest ambassador to the game in our generation, and sharing your love of the game with all of us.
