As you may know, for safety reasons speed limits have just definitely been enforced at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, making it impossible for car manufacturers to benchmark their cars performance against one another on this legendary track.
For car enthusiasts, this seems like a non-sense: while such measure can be perfectly understood for non-professional drivers and when spectators are present, it's difficult to find any rationale why manufacturers should not be able to organise "closed sessions" where the track is fully privatised with no spectators could be allowed.
So if like many car enthusiasts you think that car manufacturers should be able to organise safe "no-limit" sessions on the ring, just sign this petition!

Speed limiting the ring is the idiots way of dealing with the true problem - the spectator areas and poor roadside barriers. It's the cheap fix, so obviously the accountants got involved....
Right before Koenigsegg is about to make an all time record? Not cool. Not cool at all.
Car manufacturers should be able to run laps without speed limits. They should either make track safer for spectators or remove them.

Speed limits on a track is ridiculous, you're not gonna tell Usain bolt he isn't allowed to run over 30km/h during the olympics either and neither are you goïng to say that a cyclist isn't allowed to drive over 50km/h during the tour the france. If you're supposed to make a million profit a year you're not going to stop working if you made it in a week. And if you're on a track you're not going to say that fast, or new cars aren't allowed to record, vid of post their time because someone else or some other car once crashed on your track. This track simply shouldn't become area 51
