The ocean and coast in a huge suburban population center is an unwise place to create a nuclear waste dump.

In lieu of a national depository for used nuclear waste, the temporary nuclear waster containers being stored at San Clemente need to impervious to ocean moisture and potential earthquake movement. The current canisters are untested and are not safe!

Storing nuclear fuel waste in crumbling sandstone adjacent a rising ocean has no rational basis. Thank you San Clemente Green for your persistent advocacy.

The current nuclear waste “disposal” at Songs IS a nuclear disaster in the making. Do you know... after the first four NEW canisters were placed in storage last month, March 2018, it was discovered they had issues? 4-inch long, stainless-steel pins inserted at the bottom of 18 ft aluminum shims are DEFECTIVELY!!!?? Our life will not be the same when these canisters buried right next to our ocean leak. Do the research! HELP!!!!!

Edison is certifiably insane if they think this is a safe means of disposal.

This is absolutely ridiculous that our government cannot allocate the appropriate to dispose of this waste. California need to make this a priority. Whatever electric company profited off the nuclear plant needs to be responsible for disposing this.

This is an issue we need to stop. If the mountain in the desert has been deemed not safe for the storage of this material than why is the beach at San Onofre. Far too many questions need to be answered before we accept this. If I were to ask to burry a 55 gallon drum of oil in my backyard the process would be ten times more difficult than what SCE has gone through to burry tons of nuc waste on our beaches potentially creating the largest superfund site ever realized.

This issue is of highest priority. The day after will be far too late and too costly even to imagine. Our Gold cost will be no more. every one has to moved with homes, property and business will become worthless over night. Edison will become totally bankrupt, their chief executives will be no where to be found, and they would claim it was an act of GOD. No, it was an act of pure stupidity and Greed. Time to take care of this issue is NOW and it is not forever. The responsibility rest with California Government, the Governor Brown, our two State Senators, State, County and the City officials . You love the Ocean, Love the Beach, Love the Sunset, love the environment, then it will not be there anymore. All will be destroyed due to some ignorant and in inept Policy passing the Buck or Kicking the Can down the Road. SCR Operational Permit should be revoked and both SDGE and SCE open up and take care of the cost of this problem which they have created by storing over 4,000 Ton of Nuclear Waste on Site. Support the Cause, Support the movement, it is our problem to solve .Thank you
