Graduate 2009. Also recall head of counseling program and vice president discussing plans to get CACREP accreditation during Aug 2006 orientation. They gave the impression they were in the process. Only learned several years later that I was ineligible for government jobs because they weren’t accredited. Sham.

I was also told that NSU would be CACREP certified before I graduated. This is a scam.

I chose NSU in 2008 because it was so-called "CACREP aligned or equivalent." This advertising was misleading. As a result, I have not been able to work at the Veterans Affairs in my field of Mental Health because I did not graduate from a CACREP program.

I love this program and the staff. They have been an amazing help and guidance. But I do believe we (as students) need assurance we will be CACREP by the time we graduate.

Before graduating in 2019, we were told that NSU was in the process of obtaining accreditation and those graduating would be grandfathered it. Obviously that wasn’t so and I regret ever having chosen NSU for my degree
