The IRS has agents and Attorneys who do not need the Tax Laws because they make their own. Also if you get cross way with them I fill fraudulent claims which cost the Tax Preparer at a disadvance to have to go to Fed District Court which cost alot of money instead of the Tax Court which only cost $60.00

No tax codes changes and neither IRS audit during tax seasson its just unfair. I don't have the time . Also, extending the deadline to May 15 since the IRS does not start accepting efile until end of January.

I had to provide copious documents for a scheduled meeting on April 16, 2015 @ 7:30am! I also had to return to my office to make all the copies to leave for the auditor.

Well this a good start, but it does nothing to address the growing penalties for EITC, AOC, and additional CTC that preparers face. It is impossible to know where a taxpayer and/or child lives, as well as other information we obtain from the client. The taxpayer doesn't seem to face any consequences, but the preparer can receive a fine of $500.00. This is ridiculous and beyond the means of common sense. When the IRS convinces congress to do away with on-line filing, then you can reprimand bad preparers more easily. Right now our filing system and our tax code is a joke.

Being a solo practitioner, having an audit in April would cripple my practice and require extension be filed in order to respond to an audit review. This extends my work load, makes my clients unhappy and is totally unnecessary due to IRS inflexibility

In order for the practitioner to perform their duties in a competent manner, cooperation must be provided by the service. Otherwise, we can not represent our clients properly.

We are stressed enough January thru April just trying to meet deadlines for W2's & W3, 941, 940 and to run an accounting office with the regular payroll, sales tax, state withholding and the normal accounting work without the harassment of an IRS agent in your office or you having to be out of the office to meet one.

Considering the tax filing period and
many tax preparers take some time
off after Apr 15 as I do, audits should
be conducted between May 1 &
Dec 31. Jan 1 to Apr 30 should be used to taxpayer assistance and tax training. (God only knows they need it) IRS personnel cannot hold a candle to what we do. Have them come to our offices for one week during filing season and they will go running and crying to their mothers.
