The IRS has become more unreasonable than anytime in my 30 years of practice

Thank you for creating this document to demand that which would only be respectful and considerate for any professional relationship.

I have recently observed improvement in the time to answer calls on the Practitioner Hotline.

IRS imposes unreasonable expectations of service during the filing season. Cooperation is key!

"This Tax Practitioner Bill of Rights is sorely needed to facilitate communication and cooperation in both directions; between the IRS and practitioners. Practitioners must be respected as members of an honorable profession, not as interlopers trying to "put something over on the government".

MS-Taxation and ATA/ATP, in practice since 1979. Ready to hang it up because practitioners are being turned into unpaid IRS agents.

I want to make it clear that I am now a retired Enrolled Agent (after 15 years) as well as a retired Collections Revenue Officer (after 30 years with IRS). I can, however, wholeheartedly attest to the myriad number of problems I faced in both roles in my career. This Tax Practitioner Bill of Rights is sorely needed to facilitate communication and cooperation in both directions; between IR and practitioners.. Practitioners must be respected as members of an honorable profession, not as interlopers trying to "put something over on the government".

My accountant is awesome and he says these changes are ridiculous this late in the year.

I'd rather see June 30th as a deadline, but Sept 30th will work.

Since I entered the tax profession as a professional tax preparer starting 1976 to current, the taxpayer and the treatment received via current IRS budget cuts is totally unfair and the practitioner like myself including a high per centage of others receive the same treatment - "IRS where are you on customer service" - You as agency can only do with what working tools are given to you relating to budget and personnel. Lets clean up our serious problems we all are facing.!!!!
