We are the third leg of the stool. You must consider US before you act.

IRS is not answering the phone now either! The burden shifting started about 21 years ago, nice to see someone noticed.

On 6/5/2015, I called the practitioner priority line to find out why a taxpayer's refund had been delayed by more than 6 weeks. No information was available under "Where's My Refund" on the website. The voice message I received was that they could not answer the phone call and I should call back another day. The practitioner priority line could not take my call! How can I represent a taxpayer if the IRS will not answer my phone call and the information is not on the website?

We need to be able to talk to a IRS agent to get our questions answered but we should not have to wait 1 to 2 hours on the phone our wait two week for a letter to be put into the systems,

IF YOU LOSE TAX PREPARERS (AND YOU WILL), EXTENSIONS WILL BE OF NO USE. OVERWORKED PREPARERS MAKE HONEST MISTAKES WHICH WILL FURTHER TIE UP THE SYSTEM.
