My own child will eventually be eligible for one of these waivers and to think we have to wait years to be approved is absurd. Please please approve this and do so yearly.

My son is on the waiting list. He is 17 years old. There are so many things we could be doing with him if we had these services. Please don't cut these services.

know that the budget process is very difficult and that our state has legislation that will ensures that we do not go into debt and always have a balanced budget. I learned at an early age that we can better understand our values when we look at where we are spending out money. While I was much better at it as a kid, I am learning how to check my budget in order to see what I truly value. The NOW/COMP Waivers are essential to the lives of so many Georgians with Disabilities. This program is not one that can be substituted for work-incentives or anything like that. I am asking that you would consider your espoused values and ask yourself if playing a key role in cutting these funds reflects those values.

I have 2 kids with autism Spectrum Disorder. They are both on the long term planning list for the NOW/COMP waiver. Me and my husband are not rich people. Without the current KB Medicaid waiver they both have there would be NO way for us to get them the substantial, costly medical and therapeutic care they require. What will happen to our precious children if they have to continue to wait even longer for their NOW/COMP waivers? Will they regress in their conditions? Families like ours don't ask for much. What we do ask for and need are logical opportunities that ANY parent would want to care for their child. It's just that kids like OURS require so much more care, and we are not able to provide that care without the government standing in our medically fragile kids' corners, as well. Please provide more funding and open up more NOW/COMP slots for GA wait listers. It's the moral thing to do. Intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals should not have the state's budget balanced on their backs. They are innocent in this and should be given a chance to thrive in life!
