The price of Gleevec each year is between $80,000 and $100,000. Other countries have a generic form; however the United States does not. Novartis owes it to their patients to allow a generic form to save the consumer thousands. They have already made billions off of this drug. As a CML patient, I know the stress that is caused by the prices and struggling with insurance companies regarding the co-pay.
